The Stubble Stag

A Brown Hare (Lepus europaeus) in a stubble field at Stiffkey, North Norfolk, England. The furrows, between the stubble, act as thoroughfares and provide a convenient route across the field. Sometimes, when seen at a distance, perspective can trick the eye into thinking they are deer. Hence the name Stubble Stag one of its many local nicknames.
