About

Welcome to my website,
I’m passionate about wildlife and have always felt a strong desire to be connected to the natural world. Since getting my first digital camera in 2007 photography has given me the opportunity to immerse myself in this world, develop my knowledge and understanding and most importantly to express myself through wildlife images.

Over time I’ve become more attuned and aligned to the natural elements that make up our environment; the changing seasons, sunrise and sunset times, the ebb and flow of the tides and the weather. I try to harness the artistic potential of these elements when taking photographs. In rare “moments of truth” all these elements combine with my creativity and technical ability to turn my vision into reality.

I strive to create art from wildlife and aspire to a fine art style which can be appreciated for its aesthetic qualities and its ability to evoke an atmosphere or impression. My aim is to produce images which are distinctive and capable of connecting others to the beauty of wildlife. In doing so I hope to encourage others to care about the protection and conservation of British Wildlife.

This is not a simple task; wildlife is elusive and unpredictable making it one of the most difficult subjects to photograph. This makes the challenge of creating an image, which matches my expectations, an immensely satisfying process and one which draws upon my knowledge of animal behaviour and field craft.

Throughout my photographic journey I’ve been fortunate enough to achieve recognition for my work which has helped motivate me and to generate a portfolio which I am proud of. Here are my highlights of my journey so far:
