Rainbow Cygnet

I followed a family of Mute Swans (Cygnus olor) at Whitlingham Lake, Norwich, for a week and was saddened as one by one five of the six cygnets were predated until only this one remained. As it swam across this rainbow coloured water, covered with the reflections of boating paraphernalia, I managed to capture this image. The scene gave me hope that this one would survive and grow up to be a beautiful adult Swan.
