Mute Swan Mono

A young Mute Swan (Cygnus olor) asleep at Whittlingham Lake, Norwich, England. I took the shot at the minimum focussing distance to fill the frame with feathers. This ensured the foreground was out of focus and drawing attention to its peaceful eye. I converted to black and white to reveal the various textures of its feathers.
