Exhausted Seal Pup in Sandstorm - Nature in Black & White
A Common Seal Pup (Phoca vitulina) hauled out on a sand bank at the edge of Blakeney Pit. The pup is lying in line with the wind but facing away from the fine sand which is being viciously propelled across the Stiffkey Flats. The sand has accumulated around the the seals tail and has coated its body.
