Egyptian Goose Landing

An Egyptian Goose (Alopochen aegyptiacus) comes in to land at Whitlingham Lake. Of all the British Geese I think the Egyptians are the most feisty and will suddenly take flight to see off other Egyptian Geese that stray into their territory. I noticed that after this behaviour they normally return to the same spot which makes it slightly easier to predict their flight path. On this occasion I captured the image as the goose returned from one of these aerial sorties.
