Anointed

A breeding pair of Great Crested Grebes (Podiceps cristatus) present weed to each other during their courtship dance. I like the placing of the weed as the female bows her head as if being anointed in some religious ceremony. The mist adds atmosphere to this special moment of bird behaviour.
