Regal Stag

A battle weary Red Deer Stag (Cervus elaphus) rests in the shade of a tree in Richmond Park. Occasionally he would bellow but was showing very little interest in the rut and looked happy to sit it out. I positioned myself to frame the Stag within the backdrop of the silhouetted tree trunk and branches and dappled sunlight shining through the leaves.
