Pygmy Hippopotamus

A Pygmy Hippopotamus (Choeropsis liberiensis) asleep at Nairobi, Safari Walk, Kenya. Their current status on the IUCN Red List is endangered with fewer than 3000 remaining in the wild. However, their survival is assured through those held in zoos and their ability to breed successfully in captivity.
