Liveforever

I found this Common Houseleek (Sempervivum tectorum) growing out of a crack in the concrete drain by my outside tap. The wind chill factor was -7 degrees and as the tap dripped the water froze on impact with the plant and the concrete. The image was taken as the ice started to melt revealing the rosette looking fresh and green despite the freezing temperatures and living up to one of its other common names; liveforever.
