Wildlife Breaks

Why not take a break on the beautiful North Norfolk Coast! My caravan holiday home is located at High Sands Creek, Stiffkey and is available to let between March and October each year. It is situated on a peaceful, non commercial site, on the edge of the salt marshes and sand flats that lead out to Blakeney Point and its large colony of Common and Grey Seals.

The village of Stiffkey is 10 minutes walk where you’ll find a quaint general store and coffee shop, great food and drink at the Red Lion Pub and antiques in the old Chapel. There you can catch a Coast Hopper bus to Wells where you can enjoy fish and chips on the harbour wall. For those who enjoy walking the North Norfolk Coastal path runs adjacent to the site and provides access to miles of unspoilt coastline and countryside.

The site is just a short car journey from Cley Nature Reserve (Norfolk Wildlife Trust) and easy striking distance of the RSPB reserves at Titchwell and Snettisham as well as the Norfolk Ornithologists Bird Observatory at Holme next the Sea. Pensthorpe Wildlife Reserve and Gardens, the one time home of BBC’s Spring Watch, is only 14 miles away.

A meandering drive along the coast road will take you through picturesque villages, with their Flint and Carr stone facades, and numerous places interests. You could visit Holkholm Hall with its deer park, shop for fantastic local produce at the Burnham’s or stop off for something to eat at one of the numerous gastro pubs or restaurants along your way. You could even dine on Michelin Star cuisine at Morston Hall.

Whether you’re interested in bird watching, photography or just having a relaxing time there

Many of my photographs were taken in North Norfolk as it is such a great location for wildlife. If you are a photographer, of whatever standard, bespoke wildlife workshops are available on request.
